LARA Trump will begin hosting a new weekend show on Fox News a month after she stepped down as the co-chair of the Republican National Convention.
President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law’s new show will debut on February 22 at 9 pm EST.
The show, titled My View with Lara Trump, is being described as a focus on “the return of common sense to all corners of American life,” Fox News said in a statement.
Lara’s show is expected to air weekly on Saturdays, featuring a mix of “analysis and interviews with influential figures.”
“A gifted communicator who knows how to connect to the viewers, successful entrepreneur and working mother, Lara’s innate understanding of the American public and today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup,” Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media’s chief executive, said.
“Lara was a total professional and a natural when she was with us years ago.”
The former RNC co-chair previously served as an on-air contributor to Fox News from March 2021 to December 2022, when she left to help her father-in-law with his reelection efforts.
“She is very talented and is a strong, effective communicator with great potential as a host,” Scott added.
Lara, 42, gushed at the opportunity to bring her voice to the network as she covers what she called the golden age of America.
“I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to FOX News, talk directly with the American people, and highlight what makes this country so great,” Lara said.
“As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.”
Brian Kilmeade, whose show One Nation with Brian Kilmeade currently occupies the 9 pm EST Saturday time slot of Fox News, will be moved to Sundays from 10 to 11 pm.
Lara, who is married to Trump’s third eldest child, Eric Trump, worked as a producer for Inside Edition before her days at Fox News.
In December, after nominating Florida Senator Marco Rubio for secretary of state in his new administration, Trump strongly pushed for his daughter-in-law to fill the vacant Senate seat.
However, The New York Times reported that Lara and Fox News’ Scott were already in discussions about their roles on the network.
Trump and his family are frequent guests on the conservative news network, including during his first term in office.
The president’s new secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, was a former co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend.
Sean Duffy, Trump’s new transportation secretary, was also a Fox News personality and a former co-host on Fox Business.
Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s pick to be the next director of national intelligence, has also made several appearances on Fox News since leaving Congress in January 2021.
