The Late Show fans were mesmerized by Andrea Bocelli and her 20-year-old son Matteo’s sweeping rendition of “Fall On Me” from the well-known Italian tenor’s recently released Sí album on Thursday night, October 25. The father-son duo created French, German, and Russian versions of the song for Disney’s upcoming The Nutcracker and the Four Realms after the single’s September 20 release.

Both men, dressed in chic black suits with bow ties, stood side by side on a platform that was crowded with a string and horn section as the show began with a quiet piano. As the orchestra joined in and his father grinned as he waited his turn on stage, Matteo Bocelli sung in a calm voice, “I thought sooner or later/ The lights up above/ Will come down in circles and guide me to love/ But I don’t know what’s right for me.”\
“Fall on me/ With open arms/ Fall on me/ From where you are,” he crooned, as his dad encouragingly patting his shoulder and took over the second verse in Italian, while mixing in the English-language song title.

The music swelling, the two men harmonized powerfully, taking turns singing the English-language verse as the song marched to a dramatic, passionate conclusion.
