A lineup of talented musicians paid tribute to the award recipients alongside the esteemed Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the renowned Hans Ek. A standout moment of the night was the unexpected appearance of Annie Lennox, who took the stage to honor Sting with a rendition of his poignant song “Fragile.”

Obviously, Sting was visibly astonished as he watched the iconic Eurythmics star approach the piano upon her introduction. Annie said, “This is such a privilege. There was only one song, out of your amazing catalog, I think you know what it’s going to be.”

She expressed admiration and love for him, as well as his songs. The moment Annie started singing, the room fell into a silence so deep you could hear a pin drop. While other artists marveled at her singing, Sting seemed unable to hold back tears, deeply moved by Annie’s respect.
