Legendary rock star Rod Stewart continues to embrace new milestones in his life, this time celebrating the arrival of his fourth grandchild at the age of 80.
The iconic singer, who recently impressed fans with his appearance at the Los Angeles FireAid concert earlier this year despite facing a challenging health diagnosis, has eight children from his various marriages and relationships.
His family, though shaped by high-profile divorces and unique connections, has remained close, with all the women in his life supporting one another and their children with Stewart.
A New Addition to the Stewart Family
The latest joyous moment for the Stewart family came when Rod’s son, Liam, and his wife, Nicole, welcomed their second child.
The couple shared the news on Instagram, introducing their newborn daughter, Elsie Skylar Stewart, alongside photos featuring themselves, their baby girl, and their 21-month-old son, Louie.
Elsie’s name holds deep significance, as it is a tribute to Rod Stewart’s late mother, Elsie Gilbart, who passed away in 1996. The heartfelt gesture added an extra layer of emotion to the family’s celebration.
Several members of the Stewart family expressed their excitement and support in response to the announcement.
Among those commenting on the couple’s Instagram post were Liam’s mother and Rod’s ex-wife, Rachel Hunter, as well as Stewart’s current wife, Penny Lancaster, his first wife, Alana Hamilton Stewart, and his daughter Ruby, whom he shares with Kelly Emberg.
Despite the outpouring of love from his family, Stewart himself has yet to publicly comment on the birth of his newest grandchild.
Rod Stewart’s Expansive Family Tree
Over the years, Stewart has built a large and blended family through his various relationships and marriages. He was married to Alana Hamilton Stewart from 1979 to 1984, Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006, and has been married to Penny Lancaster since 2007.
His children include:
Sarah – His eldest daughter, from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey.
Kimberly and Sean – From his marriage to Alana Hamilton Stewart.
Ruby – His daughter with model Kelly Emberg.
Renee and Liam – From his marriage to Rachel Hunter.
Alastair and Aiden – His youngest children, from his marriage to Penny Lancaster.
When it comes to grandchildren, the singer now has four:
Elsie Skylar Stewart and Louie Stewart – Children of his son Liam and daughter-in-law Nicole.
Delilah – Daughter of his eldest daughter Kimberly.
Otis – Son of his daughter Ruby.
As Rod Stewart celebrates another addition to his growing family, his legacy continues not only through his timeless music but also through the generations of children and grandchildren who carry on his name.
