Reneé Rapp’s vocals are next level! The American singer-songwriter stunned fans with her heavenly vocals during her 2024 appearance on Saturday Night Live. Rapp sang her single “Snow Angel,” which showcased her ability to effortlessly transition between soft, dreamy vocals and powerhouse belting when she got to the business end of the song.
Rapp really lets her emotions out on stage and features a natural ability to draw the listener in while performing. This, together with her top-notch live vocals, made her Saturday Night Live appearance one to remember. The 25-year-old singer is one of our favourite rising stars here, and with performances like this under her belt, I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more from her in the future.
Rapp uploaded her Saturday Night Live performance to YouTube on January 21, 2024, where it gained 1.1 million views. Fans were really impressed with her live rendition of “Snow Angel” and added comments such as “How in the world is this better than the recording? The ability to convey emotion like that is something you can’t teach. This is a special talent.” and “How does she hit every single note so unbelievably perfectly? She’s an incredible vocalist.”
Rapp produced not one but two viral videos with her 2024 appearance on Saturday Night Live. On the same show, she also performed her single “Not My Fault.” Megan Thee Stallion made a hype appearance in the bridge to perform her featured rap on the single. These two ladies sure know how to put on a show, and it seemed that viewers agreed, as the live collab drew 2.5 million views on YouTube. These numbers made the live cut of “Not My Fault” Rapp’s most popular live performance on the platform.
Rapp dropped “Snow Angel” on June 9, 2023, as the lead single from her debut studio album of the same name. You may recall that the North Carolina star initially came to public attention in 2019 for her role playing Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls, as well as the 2024 film of the same name. However, she branched out as an original music artist with her 2022 EP Everything to Everyone, before following it up with her debut studio album the following year.
