It’s unclear why he isn’t part of the celebration, but the actor has previously spoken about the stress of working on the show

SNL has revealed the cast of alumni to be featured in the upcoming 50th anniversary special – but fans are furious that one favorite star is missing.

The legendary sketch show will mark its milestone on February 16 with a three-hour extravaganza airing at 8 p.m. EST.
A teaser clip shows a car cruising through New York City, passing towering blue Post-it notes adorned with the names of comedy icons confirmed for the event.

The guest list is stacked with SNL legends, including Laraine Newman, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, Fred Armisen, Molly Shannon, Kristen Wiig, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Pete Davidson, Tracy Morgan, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Kate McKinnon, Andy Samberg, Seth Meyers, Kenan Thompson, Jason Sudeikis, and Chris Rock.

A-listers outside the SNL alum pool will also join the celebration, with appearances from Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Bad Bunny, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, and Woody Harrelson.

But one name is noticeably absent – Bill Hader, the beloved comedian behind iconic characters like Stefon.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to vent their frustration, with one fuming: “Where is Bill Hader? I want a Stefon comeback.”

Another demanded: “Show us Bill Hader,” while a third warned: “I’m going to crash out if they don’t announce Bill Hader soon.”

Someone else went even further, declaring: “GIVE ME BILL HADER OR GIVE ME DEATH.”

It’s unclear why Bill isn’t part of the celebration, but the actor has previously spoken about the stress of working on the show.
He told Variety in 2019: “When I was on SNL, I was a bit of a basket case. It could not have been easy on my wife at the time. I was so consumed with work and anxiety.”

With SNL’s anniversary special just days away, fans are still holding out hope for a surprise appearance – but if Bill remains absent, they won’t be happy.
Elsewhere, Kim and Pete are set to reunite when they return to the SNL studio.

The reunion comes two years after the former couple called time on their whirlwind romance.

The pair famously got together after Kim hosted the NBC show in 2021, sharing an on-screen kiss during an Aladdin sketch.

Kim and Pete went on to date for nine months before splitting in 2022.

While they have both moved on, the special will mark a rare public event where they’ll both be in attendance.
